Not sure what's with today...it felt special. My brain cells are in 'hyper' mode. I couldn't sleep and though awfully tired, my brain is just raring to go some more. [I burned the midnight candle to finish a rather intricate editorial plan for an upcoming beautiful project that I'm truly excited about. It involves a legit team of creative wonderful people whom I happen to be working with these last 5 years that I've been 'offline']

Today I'm back online. And I just purchased my old blog domain back! [Well it happened to be available, says GoDaddy...so what's a girl gonna do?)

I'm literally in a fast food shop, typing away (in my Indian cotton pajamas!), my little red car nicely parked outside...after 'driving' my son to school [he's not 7 though, but 17! and he drove the car to school (I drive on the way home). Wow, look at me go...I envisioned this very moment 13 years ago! Thirteen years too long...

Look out for that beautiful maiden [Daragang Magayon], hanging out on the Interwebs very very soon.

Of Opportunities and Choices

18 April 2017 Payawin, Gubat, Sorsogon, Philippines My late father always said that opportunities only knock once. And if you choose to ignore it, it will never come back again, ever. Once-in-a-lifetime opportunity -- no wonder there is such a term. Last weekend was Easter Sunday and it made me reflect on  a few things. The resurrection of Christ exudes of a general theme along the lines of 'there must be suffering first before true joy is experienced', or something like 'new beginnings' and all that. It made me think of the choices I've made and how my life has turned because of those choices. My own realizations boiled down to one thing: opportunities. Opportunities that came my way that I didn't let pass. I took them all with eyes closed or with faith (whichever you wanna call it) that it was a choice made in pursuit of a life I've wanted, and more importantly, in pursuit of something that I knew would change my life for the better. Second Wind

26 January 2017 Payawin, Gubat, Sorsogon. Philippines A wise man once said, not everyone is given a second chance in life. But if you do, make sure you take your best shot at it. We all had our share of not-so-good times, when things seem to go down south all at once. First your personal life, and then your career and everything else in between. Sure I've had my share of those and I had it real bad. See I had this theory that if your personal life is a mess, your professional life will eventually go down the drain. How else can you function fully at work when you can't even sort out your personal life? It couldn't be more true, at least for me. Eventually things fell down like domino tiles in front of me. Then it was like drowning in a deep dark tunnel of mess. Murphy's law at its finest. When things go wrong, they really go very wrong. Then such a period would last until such time when you can at least come up for thin air and recover enough just to breathe....
